The purpose of this policy is to prevent cases where the information provided through the Seoul Tourism Archive is used without unauthorization, and/or for falsification, or commercial purposes without revealing the information source, thereby causing loss or damage to information users.

Users must comply with the following copyright protection policy, as all materials provided by the Seoul Tourism Archive are protected by the Copyright Act.

Pursuant to Article 24-2 (Free Use of Public Works) of the Copyright Act, materials which the Korea Open Government License (KOGL) holds the entirety of the author's property right among those provided by the Seoul Tourism Archive may be freely used without seeking permission in advance. Materials that are available for free use are identified with the type 1 open license marking of KOGL. Please check the marking before use. For free use of materials, users must specifically indicate the work source.

Materials which the Seoul Tourism Archive does not hold full copyright are also available. To freely use such materials, users must acquire permission from the relevant copyright owner. In other words, prior consultation with archive management is required for using materials with no KOGL marking or those to which copyright has been applied, such as the restriction of modifications/changes, non-commercial use, etc.

When linking or uploading materials of the Seoul Tourism Archive on other websites, link this copyright policy together, as other users may overlook this copyright policy.

As there is a possibility of copyright infringement on materials available on the website of which the copyrights are not fully owned by the Seoul Tourism Archive (i.e. materials whose copyrights are shared with other authors), unauthorized changes, copying, distribution, and adaptation other than simple reading are strictly prohibited. Violations may result in legal punishment according to relevant laws.
